Joseph Kusaga is actively involved in Tanzania's mining ecosystem through his engagement with TAMISA (Tanzania Mining Industry Suppliers Association) and Youth in Mining, supporting initiatives focused on strengthening the industry, expanding opportunities and developing the people who will shape its future. His involvement reflects a broader commitment to mentorship, strategic guidance and the development of sustainable opportunities around Tanzania's mining sector. The modern mining sector creates opportunities far beyond extraction – young Tanzanians can participate across technology, engineering, logistics, equipment supply, finance, environmental services, professional services, entrepreneurship and other areas connected to the mining value chain. Through his role as Mlezi (Mentor & Strategic Advisor) for TAMISA and his support for Youth in Mining, Joseph Kusaga contributes experience, mentorship and strategic perspective to the wider conversation around local content, enterprise development and youth participation in the mining industry.
